Plzeň City Pigeon Loft

A pigeon loft for Plzeň

The Plzeň loft was built in the attic of a building near Sady Pětatřicátníků and is designed for roughly 90 pairs of pigeons. Before the site was chosen, local flocks and their movement patterns were monitored in order to select a location with a strong chance of natural adoption.

The spacious attic loft officially opened in November 2024. It is easy to access for regular maintenance and its location close to the city centre makes it possible to work with flocks that naturally move through this part of Plzeň.

Cameras installed inside help monitor pigeon activity and provide a continuous overview of what is happening in the loft.
